A most important starting point to remember is that humans can choose what they eat from numerous items in the house and refrigerator. The quality of all manufactured items from motor cars to clothing to pet food is determined by two variables:
1. The quality of the raw materials used in the process
2. The quality of the factory (as well as the expertise of the personnel) and its processes in producing the end product

Antioxidants
Antioxidants are important in maintaining good health as they neutralise free radicals which are formed within all our bodies. A combination of antioxidants including Vitamin C & E is provided in Veterinary Science Nutrition which helps to strengthen your dog’s immune system and keep him or her strong and active.
Calcium & Phosphorus
All animals require calcium and phosphorus for healthy teeth and bones and for the proper functioning of the muscles and nervous system. However, it is not as simple as dumping a whole bunch of calcium and phosphorus into the food mixer. Firstly, there are many various sources of these elements and they are not all equal in terms of availability to the body. And, as with most things, the cheaper the product the less bio-available they are. A further, and critical factor is the ratio of these 2 elements to one another. Unfortunately some manufacturers, particularly of the cheaper foods, are not as diligent as they should be. Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids
Fatty acids play a myriad role in maintaining the proper functioning of all living cells. Omega 3 is one of the most important and plays a vital role in restricting inflammation. The ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids is particularly important and special attention has been paid to this when formulating Veterinary Science Nutrition. Our formulation contains optimal levels and ratios of Omega 6 and 3 fatty acids which promotes, amongst other things a healthy skin and shiny coat.
